Getting poster data...
Samuel Pantze (Center for Advanced Systems Understanding, Görlitz, Germany; Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, Germany)
This artwork depicts a user interacting with their 3D image dataset in virtual reality. Manual cell tracking annotation is still primarily performed with 2D interfaces and visualisations, which greatly limits spatial understanding and navigation. Diving into your data in VR allows you to gain a greater understanding of your data, and makes annotation of cell lineages faster and more intuitive. The dataset shows the early development of a Tribolium Castaneum, downloaded from the Cell Tracking Challenge website, data courtesy of Akanksha Jain, Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, Dresden. Annotation data courtesy of Jean-Yves Tinevez, Institut Pasteur, Université Paris Cité. Rendered in Blender Cycles, using the Microscopy Nodes addon for the image import and Mastodon's Blender View extension for the track data import.
