Chisato Tsuji (Random42/University of Bristol/MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology)
Science animation is a powerful tool that can illustrate dynamic biological interactions across a range of scales, from molecules to whole organisms. Between finishing my PhD and starting my postdoc position, I used the Wellcome Transition Fund to organise an internship at Random42 – a leading science animation company that specializes in creating medical animations that demonstrate mechanisms of disease and drugs. During my 2-month internship, I contributed to a wide variety of projects by writing scripts for narrations, planning storyboards and working with the production team to bring the animation to life. This poster showcases some of the visual content that have been developed by Random42.
