Getting poster data...
Wen Hwa Lee (SGC & University of Oxford, Oxford, United Kingdom)
The SGC is an international public-private partnership that aims to determine the three dimensional structures of medically important human proteins. All structures, results and related reagents created by the SGC are made freely available via public databases in a prompt manner without IP constraints. Vast quantities of data are generated by high throughput structural biology (SB), however much of this data is traditionally disseminated in ways that are not accessible to non-structural biologists. Furthermore the heterogeneous data are delivered in disconnected forms from diverse databases. In collaboration with MolSoft LLC we have developed iSee to present SB work in an integrated manner to non-experts via an intuitive and interactive interface. iSee datapacks contain expert biological and functional annotations of protein structures and also includes relevant compound information from either co-crystallisation or screening experiments. iSee datapacks can be accessed for free via a web browser or as a standalone downloadable files. The current implementation of iSee allows authors to annotate, analyse and publish within the same integrated editing platform. To date the S
