Reflect is a new service able to recognize proteins and small molecules mentioned in a web page, and link them to information-rich summaries. Our target is to improve how people read scientific papers, because usually people spend a lot of time searching for unknown words they have passed during reading. This can be avoided. Simply by pressing a button on your browser, or typing a URL in the Reflect's web page, the new service will automatically add hyperlinks to the names of proteins and small molecules. Each hyperlink opens a popup corresponding to the term underneath, providing a information-rich summary. Reflect has three user interfaces: a standard web page and plug-ins for Firefox and Internet Explorer. The web browser plug-in offers some additional features to the user. E.g. it's possible to take part of the community curation process (removing false positives and adding false negatives), as well as generating an interaction network of all proteins mentioned on the reflected webpage.
