Getting poster data...

Mayday is an application for the analysis and visualization of transcriptomics and similar systems biology data. It provides a plugin based interface for data processing, including filtering, clustering, statistics and many more. Our Visual Analytics approach is trifold: For general inspection of any analysis result, Mayday includes boxplots, profile plots, scatter plots, barplots, dendrograms and an enhanced heatmap capable of displaying meta information. Focusing on transcriptomics and epigenetics, a track-based Genome Overview summarizes gene expression on the chromosome scale. An arbitrary-resolution Genome Heatmap allows to map probe expression in its genomic context on both macro and micro scale. Both views offer continuous and swift zooming. For a functional perspective, transcriptome or metabolome data can be displayed in metabolomic pathways, either in KEGG or BioPax format. Pathway components can be viewed as SBGN glyphs or using heatmaps or profile plots. All general and specialized views are highly customizable, exchanging selections, and allow to perform in place data transformations as well as export publication quality images.
