Getting poster data...
Wencke Walter, Claudia Haferlach, Wolfgang Kern, Torsten Haferlach, Manja Meggendorfer (MLL Münchner Leukämielabor GmbH Max-Lebsche-Platz 31, 81377 Munich)
At the MLL we started the 5K project to sequence the genome and transcriptome of 5,000 patients with hematological malignancies. One of the aims is to build models that can help to stratify patients based on clinical and genetic features. The poster gives a more artistic impression of the trained models for a group of leukemia entities. Although we are searching for similarities between the patients to unravel the underlying molecular mechanisms of the disease, we always keep in mind that each sample represents an individual, reflected by the larger circles. Each bubble – partitioned in 24 parcels - represents a single patient. Each parcel represents a SNP and the color corresponds to the variant allele frequency of that SNP in the respective individual. Based on this SNP profile we can differentiate between 1 in 80,000 patients and ensure that each patient becomes the best possible diagnosis.
