Recent developments in miniaturised GPS sensors support the generation of large quantity of animal movement data, for which few 3D visualisation solutions exist. This study investigates the usage of different 3D immersive environments for visualising a real-world bird trajectory dataset. 3D immersive environments considered here are: mini-CAVE, Google Cardboard, HTC Vive and Microsoft Hololens. This work aims to be part of the research community efforts to better understand the earth ecosystems in relation to the constant environmental threats.
