VisPan: Real-time visualization of multiplex syndromic panels sequencing for rapid pathogens detection. Human and animal health around the world are facing with emerging viral threats. The combination of multiplex PCR testing and real-time sequencing of viral genomes can effectively address these challenges. The CIBU laboratory has set up several multiplex syndromic panels for pathogen detection. The ARTIC network has developed Rampart, a tool that provides a real-time overview of genome coverage and reference matching for each sample. In the case of multiplex sequencing panels, visualisation is difficult due to the large number of targets and pathogens sought. We have adapted Rampart to visualise these different syndromic panels in real time in VISPAN. New features have been added and configuration files specific to each panel have been created and annotated. A first version was evaluated on four panels. The tool is user-friendly and allows rapid analysis. The results obtained demonstrate the power of these approaches for broad screening of emerging pathogens and the rapid detection of infectious disease.
