We present WashU EpiGenome Browser, now a software suite of 3 web services, to provide the research community a powerful tool to explore the vast amount of public epigenomics data sets. The WashU EpiGenome Browser (http://epigenomegateway.wustl.edu/) hosts thousands of sequencing data sets from Roadmap Epigenomics project and ENCODE. User can explore data at any scale, to focus on a gene set, or bring in private data. The Browser also supports the visualization of long-range chromatin interaction data (e.g. Hi-C, 5C, and ChIA-PET). The Complete Epigenome Display (http://epigenomegateway.wustl.edu/browser/roadmap/) displays “complete epigenomes” as a set of standalone Browser panels. With this service user can display multiple panels side-by-side to compare the epigenetic profile of multiple human samples, while being able to tune each panel independently. The Transposable Element Browser (http://epigenomegateway.wustl.edu/browser/repeat/) focuses on transposable elements (TE) in the human genome. We predicted TE-transcrption factor (TF) interactions using ENCODE data sets, and made this unique results available through this service.
