Next generation sequencing technologies have opened up numerous new analysis possibilities in life sciences. RNAseq (indirect sequencing of RNA) allows the detection of active genes at a given time and condition. However, visual analysis of the large amounts of data of RNAseq experiments is a serious challenge. Therefore, novel data analysis and visualization methods are required to support the biologist in the analysis process and to understand the results. Especially the detection of overlapping genes requires to overview and filter the overwhelming volume of data, as well as a data representation which ease to grasp the shown information. Our tool supports this by: (1) artifact free representation of the coverage sequence (2) plotting of the coverage sequence directly into the gene representation to avoid the need of visual mapping of the coverage sequence to a gene (3) automatic support for finding and focusing on interesting genes, and thus to limit the analysis time (4) an overview representation that allows parameter tuning and a quick access to genes of interest The usefulness of our tool was shown by a case study in the area of overlapping gene detection in a bacterial ge
