We present an interactive visualization environment for a model of multi-cellular tumor spheroids (MCTS). The environment allows the user to display multiple instances of the simulation data as 3D visualizations of the spheorids and derived data as graphs. The system is capable of displaying up to 170 000 virtual cells at 90 frames per second required for virtual reality (VR) using a custom shader that aims to move as much of the necessary data (pre-)processing as possible to the GPU. Exploiting the GPU enables drastic performance improvement compared to previous iterations, which where CPU bound. Additional visual enhancements such as cutaway and exploded views allow for better understanding of interior and spatial properties.
