Getting poster data...
Christophe Blanchet (CNRS IBCP, Lyon, France)
In the context of the EMBRACE NoE (EU PF7), we are developing an application about the usage of bionformatics Web services to analyse large scale protein datasets. The main goal is to provide end-users with integrated tools to get the most information possible regarding their large set of proteins such as proteomes. The workflow processes all the protein sequences through all the tools, and collect all the resulting data into a comprehensive archive. We have integrated some of these generic tools as Web services and registered them on our web site at http://gbio-pbil.ibcp.fr/ws and in the BioCatalogue. We have also done the adaptation to grid computing infrastructure of some of these bioinformatics tools in the context of the European Grid for E-science (EU-FP7 infrastructure). Study of large set of proteins could then be done in a distributed and programatic context with the Web services, or with the grid-enabled ones. And these analyses lead to the production of large, heterogeneous and complex dataset of results. Now, the next step is clearly to provide biologists using this application with tools to vizualize the large scale results in
