RNA secondary (2D) structure visualisation is essential for understanding RNA function. R2DT is a software package that generates consistent, recognizable, and reproducible RNA 2D layouts. The latest release, R2DT 2.0, introduces major features, including position-specific annotations (e.g., SNPs, SHAPE reactivities), a template-free mode for RNAs without pre-existing templates, constrained folding, and animated visualisations. Users can interactively refine R2DT diagrams manually or via natural language prompts to create new templates or publication-ready images. R2DT 2.0 also delivers improved performance, an expanded template library, and a growing collection of compatible tools and utilities. Already integrated into multiple biological databases, R2DT has evolved into a comprehensive platform for RNA 2D visualisation. Explore it at https://r2dt.bio.
