Cryo electron tomography is a technique which can visualize cells in three dimensional with nanoscale resolution. Cryo electron tomograms are very noisy, due to beam sensitivity of the sample. Therefore the visualization of tomograms using segmentation and surface rendering is a challenge. Here a workflow is presented to segment and image cryo electron tomograms in an objective way.
