Sarcoidosis affects various organs and may lead to system failure and death. It is hypothesized thaт the aetiology is linked to autoimmune reaction, bacterial infection or host microbiome dysbiosis. Members of Mycobacterium and Cutibacterim genera were previously associated with sarcoidosis. However, no single agent of sarcoidosis was firmly identified. Metagenome analysis of 16S rDNA gene has further emphasized that there are no single species related to sarcoidosis. Therefore we performed a preliminary analysis on shotgun whole genome sequencing of blood microbiota from a patient. Metagenome analysis via Kraken 2 classified the sequencing data. The visualization was performed with the Pavian R package as a Sankey diagram. Sarcoid sample showed no specific microorganism or taxonomic group associated with the disease. In conclusion, the visualization with Sankey diagram provides an easy perception of NGS metagenomic data in samples. Our results support microbiome dysbiosis.
