This artwork aims to bring together the aspects of 'struggling with the unknown' throughout human history by the use of modern and historic interfaces. The image background is from the Papyrus of Ani, symbolizing humans fearing and defying the unknown (fear of death, eternity and life). It gives aspects of how the human knowledge is cumulative, growing generation after generation (timbuktu manuscripts). It examplifies the diversity of branches of the tree of knowledge, extending from humans themselves (Vitruvian Man), to colossal objects (Biruni's depiction of the lunar eclipse.). Eventually the center of the image is an I-PV output (EGFR protein), symbolizing our building blocks. The information within I-PV is tightly packed in an interface, and the knowledge within is heavy and brings responsibility, which is depicted by two Atlas figures carrying the 'knowledge' on their backs. Around this wheel of knowledge , you see Ramses II going on his chariot (the fight depicts the 'struggle'), symbolizing humans embarking on the non-ending journey, in search of the unknown.
