Downy mildew disease is always a big issue for lettuce breeding and producing. As an interesting donor of resistance, we sequenced and assembled the genome reference of the wild lettuce relatives, Lactuca saligna. Comparative genomic analysis were conducted to inspect the regions of resistance and hybrid barrier between L. saligna and cultivated lettuce. A flow chart and linkage group mapping figures were created to illustrate the sequencing and assembling strategy and protocol. Circular plot was used to visualize the distribution and density of resistance related genes as well as other genomic content. While the macro-synteny and micro-synteny plot were generated to visually show the inverted collinear interval between the L. saligna and lettuce.https://www.wur.nl/en/Research-Results/Chair-groups/Plant-Sciences/Biosystematics-Group.htm
